PRIMARY FUNCTION Assists in organizing and coordinating performance of tests either by personally conducting the test or directing other personnel. Evaluates company prototypes, units, and systems. Provides company with reliability theory, test codes and practices as applied to mobile equipment. TYPICAL DUTIES Essential
2. Coordinate and work in conjunction with internal and external customers to design, layout or detail components and systems for testing. 3. Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in production or test methods. 4. Analyzes test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications. 5. Ability to set up prototype and test apparatus and operate test equipment to observe and record test results and prototype fit up. 6. Review test request instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements, assembly and testing. 7. Ability to function as departmental liaison between EPG Lab Technicians and test requestors. Ability to answer questions in the absence of the requestor based on knowledge of the scope of the project or request. 8. Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of design verification and reliability tests. 9. Demonstrate ability to effectively summarize and communicate test results to engineers and managers. 10. Commitment to stay current with the continuous evolution of technology by reading trade journals, technical publications and attending training seminars and conferences. Willingness to work additional hours as required with commitment "to doing whatever is necessary to get the job done". 11. Supervise technician in setting up for and conducting routine tests. 12. Must have strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems knowledge with solid instrumentation skills. Experience in some of the following areas is required. 13. Ability to apply mathematical and engineering concepts.
